Privacy Notice

The Dundalk Railway Heritage Society uses the information you provide to us for legitimate interest as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation.

We do not disclose the information we hold about you to third parties without your permission or unless lawfully required to do so. Access to your information is restricted to officers of the DRHS who need it to carry out their roles.

The Secretary, or deputy, of the Society may use your information to contact you concerning the business of the Society, including forthcoming events, membership matters, and notice of Annual and Extraordinary General Meetings.

We use your personal data to manage and administer your membership of, or subscription to, the Society. We also act as controller and processor in regard to the processing of your Gift Aid declarations, if applicable.

We will protect your personal data, including any financial details, in a manner which is consistent with the Society’s duty of confidence and the requirements of the GDPR concerning data protection. All stored personal data will be encrypted.

For new data subjects, at the point of providing your email address there will be a consent statement, arising from which you agree to allow the DRHS to contact you via email in preference to post.

Our mailing lists for membership and public marketing rely on the individual either proactively joining the list or responding to an invitation. The DRHS cannot add individuals to the lists.

Should there be a data breach all data subjects will be informed via email.

The Honorary Secretary acts as the Society’s Data Controller.
