Dundalk Railway Heritage Society was formed in 2011 by a group of former railway staff and enthusiasts. We meet regularly to brain storm and share ideas and memories.
Excursions are often undertaken, such as our very first outing in June 2011 to the spot where the great Armagh Railway Disaster took place on June 12 1989.
An important part of what we do involves directing historical railway artifacts to heritage when no longer in use. This way, we ensure that future generations can enjoy our heritage for years to come.
